Dr. George S. Peart

I have discovered that the journey through life has various seismic events which shake us to the core of our being.  One of my seismic events occurred in the winter of 1962 when I saw Jireta Smith for the first time and realized I wanted to marry this beautiful, graceful, poised young woman. We were married on 3rd March 1963 and began a journey together of true devotion. Over fifty years later, another seismic event occurred. Coming home from the grocery store, with her arms full of grocery bags, my beloved Rita stumbled over a raised brick and fell face first on the walkway to our condominium. She was planning to cook me a welcome home dinner, since I was flying into Florida from England. However, the fall set in motion a series of consequences that were to rob me of my companion and increase a feeling of lonely isolation. My hope is that you, Dear Reader, will fix your favorite beverage, settle in your favorite chair and read about my lonely journey so that you can find courage and strength for surviving and thriving during these seismic events of your own life.
